In a highly contested final, it was Team GB’s Beth Shriever who crossed the line ahead of Mariana Pajón of Colombia and Merel Smulders of the Netherlands. It was Great Britain’s first medal in Women’s BMX racing and Shriever would add a world title to her name the month after! She’s added another world title to the trophy cabinet this month in Glasgow, pitting her as one of the potential favourites in the lead up to Paris 2024!
